OEM--Preparation technology of soft capsule

Soft gel production is one of LY's main OEM products. Soft gel refers to the sealed capsule preparation formed after quantitative encapsulation of oil drug, drug solution or drug suspension using gelatin as the main material. Common preparation methods include dripping method and pressing method.
Softgel capsules are commonly prepared by dripping (Figure 1) and pressing (Figure 2)
The basic principle of the pressing method is as follows: the rubber is passed through the middle of a pair of cylindrical molds, the supply pump will inject a quantitative amount of liquid medicine through the spray body into the rubber between the molds, and the mold will move opposite to press the two rubber sheets and cut out of the rubber sheets to form a completely closed capsule. The main process steps of the pressing method include four steps: gumming, liquid dispensing, pill making and drying. In addition, in order to ensure product quality, the production will also increase the pill testing process to eliminate unqualified products.
●Gel melting
The process of preparing adhesive liquid is generally called sol, and the temperature of adhesive liquid and the vacuum degree in the tank will affect the efficiency and effect of the sol, as well as the quality and viscosity of the adhesive liquid.
Under normal circumstances, gelatin, plasticizer and water are put into the glue tank, and the gelatin is heated and dissolved after absorbing water and expanding. The bubbles generated during the glue melting process are discharged through vacuum reduction, and the transparent and bubble-free glue can be obtained. If the prescription is colored lake, generally the color lake and part of the plasticizer, water grinding uniform, commonly used colloid mill or ball mill, and then the color lake solution added to the glue mixed; Preservatives are generally added 10 to 20 minutes before discharging.
The temperature of the glue is usually controlled at 60 ~ 70℃, and the gelatin melts slowly when the temperature is lower than 55℃, but when the temperature of the glue reaches 72℃ or more, the degree of hydrolysis increases and the quality of the glue decreases linearly.
The process should always pay attention to the glue temperature, viscosity, color, moisture, etc., degassing should be thorough, there are no bubbles in the glue, otherwise it will affect the pelleting.
●Liquid preparation
The liquid dispensing contents can be prepared according to the requirements of specific projects, and the liquid dispensing process can be controlled by referring to the relevant technical requirements of relevant solutions, suspensions and semi-solid preparations. If the raw material is unstable in light, heat and oxygen, it can be considered to avoid light, cool or fill with nitrogen. The dispensing process varies with the specific product.
●l pelleting
Pill pressing is the core work of softgel production, adding the configured liquid medicine to the hopper, pressing the glue liquid through the hose to the softgel machine, completing the preparation of rubber sheet, quantitative filling of the contents, and pressing the rubber sheet and contents into capsules through the mold.
●Desiccation
The drying process is generally divided into two steps, which are set drying and standing drying. Set drying the freshly pressed softgel is immediately transferred to the drying cage for drying, so that the moisture is reduced to 25-30%, and the shape of the softgel is basically set under this moisture. In order to improve production efficiency, the soft capsules after setting and drying are transferred to the tray for further drying. In order to clean the lubricating oil on the surface of the softgel, an oil absorbing cloth can be added to the drying cage during the drying process. Generally, the water content of softgel shell should be controlled between 8 and 12%, and the finished capsule shell will be too soft and easy to mold; If the moisture is too low, the capsule will be brittle and not conducive to storage and transportation.
